Megan contacted us six months before her wedding date to discuss the bespoke bridal alterations that she desperately needed for her wedding dress. Although Megans dress hadn't arrived when we first spoke, she was however able to secure dates with our workroom to ensure availability and completion in time for her big day.
Megan made the three hour round trip from Suffolk three times to attend the atelier in North West London where she experienced each stage of her bespoke wedding dress alterations from the first toile to completion of her gown.
The process of redesigning the simingly simple bodice and its re-construction to match the lines of the dress, turned into quite a challenge; it took two team members several days to re-create the intricate 3D applique of the lace unto a sheer tulle base.
The original bodice was shapeless. Although it had bra cups, they did very little other than provide privacy. We recommended to Megan that a few changes were needed to improve the fit and shape of the gown. Megan was happy to let us take the lead, and so the new bodice which was carefully restructured with internal boning and fitted cups providing Megan with the stunning feminine silhouette that she required.
