Findon Place Sussex | An Intimate English Country Garden Wedding

Updated: Oct 25, 2023

This post is all about the magic and romance of an intimate English Country Garden Wedding. So keep scrolling, step back in time and soak up the romance, whilst admiring the exquisite details.

The Venue

Featured On the Coco Wedding Venues website, this inspirational styled bridal shoot lacks nothing for those who treasure history, romance and dream of having an English country garden wedding. Hosted at a privately owned grade 11* Georgian country estate in the South Downs National Park, Findon Place is full of delightful surprises. It is truly one of those places where you immediately feel at home and you can't bear to leave. The venue host Caroline has poured her heart and soul into the tiniest detail - which you feel right from the moment you arrive.

The Inspiration | The English Country Garden

The color palette and styling for the shoot centred around the English country garden with nods to the popular Netflick series Bridgerton, the herbaceous borders (a popular feature among all great country homes across the UK) and the secret garden - of which there are many in the grounds of Findon Place. Translated into harmonious shades of pinks and green, highlights of cream, blush, lilac and hints of blue, the ceremony space, staircase, entrance and patio was awash with colour.

The Details

The Wedding Dress

The brides handmade wedding dress was crafted entirely in tulle with an off the shoulder neckline overflowing with ruched ruffles, a corseted bodice and detachable billowing sleeves.

Whilst the whole theme of the shoot centered around regency and timelessness, it was important that the design of the bridal gown should be contemporary with a modern feel. The benefit of creating the brides dress entirely from tulle was in keeping with the design brief - of classical design with a modern, light, minimalist and carefree vibe.

The bride wore three pieces from the Bridal Studio Collection

Top left | Camela Bridal Gown

Top Right | Silk Satin slip

Bottom Mid | Angelica Bridal Robe

Bottom left & right | Camela Bridal gown
